Cooling Systems
The Bunker’s primary data delivery centre is protected by three refrigerated water chillers, each capable of providing 340kW of cooling and giving an installed cooling capacity of 1,020kW. Two chillers may be deployed concurrently to provide an operating capacity of 680kW and to achieve N+1. Chilled water is pumped through The Bunker complex to air conditioning and fan coil units for localised cooling. In addition, free standing cooling units are installed in specific high-density areas.
The Bunker’s secondary data delivery centre is cooled by a combination of existing plant and spot cooling. Spot cooling is delivered via multiple compact systems each with its own condenser to achieve required N+1 redundancy.
