Systems Manager
Full time post as: Systems Manager
Location: Ash, near Sandwich, Kent, UK.
Reporting to: Technical Services Director

You will be an accomplished Technical Manager with at least 3 years prior experience in a similar role. The successful candidate will be managing a team of experienced Open Source and Microsoft engineers covering security,system builds, research and development, detailed problem diagnosis and resolution in addition to writing weekly and monthly reports to Executive level.
The position is a full time post reporting into the Technical Services Director. Based at our Ash site in Kent, the role will involve working closely with our Support, Network, Project and Sales teams to ensure efficient management, delivery and support of technical services to internal and external customers.
Summary of technical skills and experience required in many of the following areas:
Firewalls: ipfw, ipf, pf, Cisco ASA/PIX, iptables, checkpoint FW-1 Web
Services: Apache-1.3.x, Apache-2.x, Squid, PHP, Apache-tomcat, MS IIS.
Scripting: Bourne shell (/bin/sh), bash, perl, C
Cryptography: Apache-SSL, SSH, OpenVPN, IPsec, X509
RDBMS: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL
DNS: BIND, djbdns, Nominet, RIPE etc.
Backup: Bacula, Amanda, Symantec Backup Exec, Legato Networker, Veritas, Netbackup
E-Mail: exim, sendmail, postfix, Exchange, qmail, cyrus imap, courier
Monitoring: Nagios, net-snmp, Big Brother, MRTG, Cacti
Other: Request Tracker (RT)
